THE ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES

We're looking for a Solutions Engineer / Business Analyst to join our Commercial team. You'll partner with sales and customer success to be the solution expert as we build the case for Revvin with technical stakeholders. This role is considered a technical expert, working with customers and developers to architect and deliver solutions. 

Your job will include learning about our client’s tech stack, tech needs and documenting the request in order to close new or expansion business and set the client up for a successful implementation.

You will also partner with customer success to serve as technical expert for ongoing client requests and issues, either taking lead in solutioning or ensuring critical details are available to our Engineering teams if they are brought into the process.

What you'll do:

  • Acting as a technical advisor, you will gather customer’s requirements and success criteria, provide architecture best practice and document data for internal handoffs. 
  • Own pre/post-sale scoping efforts to ensure we effectively build to customer requirements. Act as the liaison between customer technical requirements and internal build specifications. 
  • Work with various customer stakeholders to ensure clear buy-in on the technical aspects of the Revvin platform. 
  • Answer internal and customer questions around custom configurations, how the product works with a variety of applications and the integration process.
  • Define/review business requirements to capture business needs and guide new change initiatives. 
  • Develop user stories, acceptance criteria, test plans, and test cases, support execution and documentation of product testing validation.
  • Work multiple projects concurrently and shift priorities as required to meet business requirements, deadlines and departmental goals and objectives.
  • Organized, excellent communication skills (written and verbal), results oriented, and professional.

  • Technical skills: As the technical expert in the room, you need to display the ability to understand and discuss various architectures and solutions, providing best practices. 
  • Curiosity: You understand that each customer is unique and seek to understand and educate on how our solution can add value. You are able to dive deep to gather the specifications our team will need to know to create a path for success and make recommendations for best configurations. 
  • Collaborative approach: You partner with Sales in the sales process, Implementations for customer onboarding handoffs, and Product for customer feedback and customizations, communicating to the technical level of the audience. 
  • Autonomous Motivation: You take ownership of your own work, and thrive when given creative freedom. You help push the status quo to improve our processes and customer experience.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • 1-3 years experience in software solutioning and/or development
  • 1-2 years in the mortgage industry, preferably with a mortgage lender and/or with a SAAS mortgage software vendor.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Highly detail oriented, analytical and possessing critical thinking skills
  • Ability to build relationships, create strategic intent, and influence internal and external partners to create successful outcomes
  • Programming experience, specifically Ruby, is highly desirable
